Meet Chef Sofia Tsyhanok

For Sofia, cooking and baking are expressions of self-care and love for others. With a background in holistic nutrition, Sofia understands the vital role that nourishing food plays in our health, embodying the philosophy that food is medicine. While she believes in the power of plant-based eating, she respects that dietary choices are personal, aiming instead to inspire others through her dishes, showcasing how plant-based meals can be vibrant, satisfying, and even transformative.

Sofia is deeply committed to sourcing her ingredients with intention, supporting local producers and emphasising the importance of knowing where our food comes from. She seeks out items like village-produced honey and olive oil, encourages seasonal eating, and loves harvesting fruits and vegetables directly from nature or her own medicinal herb garden.

Her journey as a chef began when she started baking vegan, gluten-free cakes for friends, which quickly led to requests for birthday cakes and event set design. Following her passion, she moved to Amsterdam, working as a freelance chef for events and vegan fine-dining restaurants. Most recently, she held the position of pastry chef at the prestigious Michelin-starred Hotel Krasnapolsky.

Sofia’s creativity shines brightest in food and design installations, particularly for holistic retreats, nature-centered gatherings, and weddings. She thrives on curating memorable dining experiences that nourish both body and spirit.
