Meet Chef Coco Junge


Bringing people together, romanticising the mundane, and breaking down conventional expectations are the driving force behind Coco’s dinners. Highly encouraging eating with your hands, trying out new things, and putting etiquette on the backburner.

Coco’s cooking is inspired by the places she’s lived across Europe, The Middle East, and Africa as well as her own Indonesian heritage.

She loves to play with tension, in food preparation as well as presentation – finding a balance between vulnerability, strength, and playfulness through the language of food. Her cooking style is curious with respect to origin and season. Wherever possible she works from scratch, from the cultured butter used in cooking to the cocoa liquor used in her desserts. Coco believes in food’s simplicity – its visceral, intuitive nature and its poetry just as much as its science.

Dinners are served family-style, unless requested otherwise. All food can be shared and there is no set rule for whether to have dessert before or after dinner.

Transport within Amsterdam metropolitan area is €85, for events outside of Amsterdam and abroad prices can be negotiated separately. Minimum billing is €600 for a minimum of 6 people. For clients looking to push creative boundaries and requiring more conceptual input on food styling and menu development, rates may need to be adjusted to effectively realise their vision.
