Meet Chef Christopher Dare


Christopher Dare is originally from Wales, though he’s been in Finland since 2008. Away from cooking Christopher loves to skateboard, snowboard, run, cycle and immerse himself in art and poetry.

His food is based on seasonal produce, foraging, and preservation. He always aims to have a few key and identifiable flavours in each dish, and to use vegetables as the key component of his food. Christopher does his best to develop menus from his own imagination accompanied by his childhood memories. At the time it seemed normal, but looking back he thinks he and his siblings were quite spoilt culinarily, as they lived on a farm raising their own animals, and spent their summers catching lobster, mackerel, crabs and sea bass in Cardigan Bay, west Wales.
